The paid pilot

Two past bids. One live bid. A decision based on the work.

$5,000for 45 daysOne workflow · One price book

One access-control workflow, one usable price book, two historical bid comparisons, and one live bid. We agree the scope, input requirements, delivery dates, and success criteria before you pay. Business day 10 is a results checkpoint. The live-bid phase is included in the pilot, with no annual agreement required to complete it.

Before day 1: agree the scope

Start with a free founder fit call. If the work fits, we put the pilot scope and review criteria in writing. The 45-calendar-day clock starts after the agreed inputs are ready.

  • One commercial access-control scope, with sheet and line-item limits
  • A usable price book, two approved estimates, and their matching plans
  • An agreed live-bid scope and timing within the pilot window
  • Delivery dates, customer review responsibilities, and treatment of scope changes
  • Applicable data terms and an agreed intake method before files are shared
  • The day-10 checkpoint and final review with your estimator and decision maker

We confirm catalog compatibility before payment. ServiceTitan is the current native connection; other price-book formats need a separate intake check.

Before the checkpoint: compare the historical bids

We prepare draft takeoffs and pricing for one representative bid and one more challenging bid. Your estimator checks the differences against the approved estimates and the drawings.

The scorecard covers scope, quantities, catalog choices, critical misses, review effort, and turnaround. Checking and correction time count as work; they are part of the comparison.

Business day 10: review the evidence

We look at what worked, what your estimator had to correct, and what the live bid needs to test. This is a working checkpoint. No annual agreement is required to receive the rest of your paid pilot.

After the checkpoint: work through a live bid

We prepare one live bid within the agreed scope, record the review effort, and work through remaining issues with your estimator. Your team approves the final scope and pricing before sending the bid.

If the historical comparison reveals a problem, we address it at the checkpoint and agree how to use the remaining pilot time. Scope changes or a delayed live project are discussed against the written pilot terms.

At the final review: decide whether to continue

A useful pilot should show whether the draft removes work, fits your process, and is worth repeating. If it does, we propose a 90-day founding engagement based on what we measured.

Continuation is optional. We quote your 90-day engagement from the pilot workload, including capacity, delivery dates, billing, onboarding, and any separately priced data cleanup. The $5,000 pilot fee credits in full against your first continuation invoice. The pilot does not renew automatically and includes no unlimited estimating or custom integration.
